Mavala Nail Polish Review

Okay so finding a good nail polish has always been very hit and miss for me, and to be honest I don't think I've used a nail polish that was 100% perfect. But I checked out the nail bar at Clicks and saw a brand that I never heard of before and I'm quite pleased with the results. From what I found out from the internet Mavala is a Swiss brand of nail polish and a lot of people like it. I got Rose Shell although I'm wanting to get the pastel yellow shade. So here we go:

Colour:
Pretty nude colour although I thought it was going to come out more pink. Nice glow with a little sparkle in it,  it's one of the better shining ones I've come across. Another nice thing is it gives such an amazing creamy texture! I often mess up my nails like moving around to much when they're wet and getting little dents in them so having a nude colour like this is good, less noticeable! :)

Durability:
This nail polish could be a bit better. I always seal with a top coat (Like the clear Essence one) but by the second day it usually starts chipping at the end of my nails.

Price:
In South Africa its about R55 to R65, it's been a while since I checked the price out but for me that's not super affordable. Also it's quite a small bottle so I often just go with brands like Essence or Revlon. However their colours are beautiful so if you have the extra money go for it! I plan to buy the yellow shade that I mentioned before and a nice hot pink.

Overall View:
I would say this 7 out of 10 nail polish for me. The colours, the creamy texture and shine are very cool but it's just the price and chipping that prevent me from buying more than 2 shades at a time XD. But yes, once I'm more financially stable I can start buying new nail polishes and nice body creams - Buying makeup is quite expensive if you do a lot of it O_o

Here are my finished nails!

Thanks for checking out my first review, and here's to many more to come! Lemme know if you want reviews of any specific product like hair, body or face:)

So a new year was upon us a couple of months ago..
I've been using the term "Transitional Phase" as an excuse to not reply or talk to people. I highly recommend this although it only lasts for a certain amount of time.
But yeah, things that have been going down this year:

  • I moved from KZN to the Western Cape, I now live in Cape Town! :D
  • I live with Assface, formally known as Richard Klement, my brother
  • I now go to Kohl Makeup Academy a very cool makeup school
  • My hair is barely as frizzy as it was in Durban (SCORE!)
  • All my friends are at different schools:(  Although one of them is also in Cape Town but at an Animation School
  • I like to think I'm not as tweenish as I was last year
  • Yet I still blush when I think of certain people....
  • I really miss my kitty!
  • I'm going to be proactive-ish
  • I want to try and get a good blog going, last year I just started one, I want it to have a purpose this year
  • So it will primarily involve makeup and makeup tutorials
  • The stuff they teach at makeup school helps...so...much!
  • And anything you want to know I will be happy to help you out
Anyway hope you guys all had a great Easter weekend, I went back to Durban to see my parents. But really they live in Scottburgh, a town outside of Durban. I just say Durban so I don't have to explain where Scotties is ^^
Nah, I'm just kidding XD I loved this video!
Cheers guys
