Mavala Nail Polish Review

Okay so finding a good nail polish has always been very hit and miss for me, and to be honest I don't think I've used a nail polish that was 100% perfect. But I checked out the nail bar at Clicks and saw a brand that I never heard of before and I'm quite pleased with the results. From what I found out from the internet Mavala is a Swiss brand of nail polish and a lot of people like it. I got Rose Shell although I'm wanting to get the pastel yellow shade. So here we go:

Colour:
Pretty nude colour although I thought it was going to come out more pink. Nice glow with a little sparkle in it,  it's one of the better shining ones I've come across. Another nice thing is it gives such an amazing creamy texture! I often mess up my nails like moving around to much when they're wet and getting little dents in them so having a nude colour like this is good, less noticeable! :)

Durability:
This nail polish could be a bit better. I always seal with a top coat (Like the clear Essence one) but by the second day it usually starts chipping at the end of my nails.

Price:
In South Africa its about R55 to R65, it's been a while since I checked the price out but for me that's not super affordable. Also it's quite a small bottle so I often just go with brands like Essence or Revlon. However their colours are beautiful so if you have the extra money go for it! I plan to buy the yellow shade that I mentioned before and a nice hot pink.

Overall View:
I would say this 7 out of 10 nail polish for me. The colours, the creamy texture and shine are very cool but it's just the price and chipping that prevent me from buying more than 2 shades at a time XD. But yes, once I'm more financially stable I can start buying new nail polishes and nice body creams - Buying makeup is quite expensive if you do a lot of it O_o

Here are my finished nails!

Thanks for checking out my first review, and here's to many more to come! Lemme know if you want reviews of any specific product like hair, body or face:)

So a new year was upon us a couple of months ago..
I've been using the term "Transitional Phase" as an excuse to not reply or talk to people. I highly recommend this although it only lasts for a certain amount of time.
But yeah, things that have been going down this year:

  • I moved from KZN to the Western Cape, I now live in Cape Town! :D
  • I live with Assface, formally known as Richard Klement, my brother
  • I now go to Kohl Makeup Academy a very cool makeup school
  • My hair is barely as frizzy as it was in Durban (SCORE!)
  • All my friends are at different schools:(  Although one of them is also in Cape Town but at an Animation School
  • I like to think I'm not as tweenish as I was last year
  • Yet I still blush when I think of certain people....
  • I really miss my kitty!
  • I'm going to be proactive-ish
  • I want to try and get a good blog going, last year I just started one, I want it to have a purpose this year
  • So it will primarily involve makeup and makeup tutorials
  • The stuff they teach at makeup school helps...so...much!
  • And anything you want to know I will be happy to help you out
Anyway hope you guys all had a great Easter weekend, I went back to Durban to see my parents. But really they live in Scottburgh, a town outside of Durban. I just say Durban so I don't have to explain where Scotties is ^^
Nah, I'm just kidding XD I loved this video!
Cheers guys

Erma Gehrd wehrkernd

Hey sorry for not posting in a while but I've been stuck working on my art exhibition  for school and our trial exams:(

And our art teacher always has sand in his vagina (meh meh meeeeehhhh) <-- Yeah, he's an asshole. But he was kinda okay today..... kinda. I got to spend time with Charmane (My best friend:) Check out her blog: Lolita Complex pleeeaaaassseeee?
Anyway I did a charcoal sketch of Dita Von Teese (DITA!!) and Noel Fielding (Ooyyyy! He's Old Greg!;)) and it wasn't bad for my first 2 attempts.
Well there it is:P DO you guys like Dita or art or even perhaps both? Then you would be truly magnificent! Well I gotta go, speak to you guys later:)

Black-eyed

Okay well I'm listening to Placebo, hence the title:P
Brian Molko is so hot lol -- I've generally found people called Brian are cute/hot/sexy. Brian May for example (more so when he was younger!) and there was this guy in my class in Grade 8 called Brian, he was pretty cute but then he went to Australia.... or New Zealand :? Whatever....

So yeah a word of advice to people: Don't attempt your last year of High School. It's a lie and there's so much work and blah blah blah and really, the whole "OMG! It's the dance this year!" is also a lie XD. You get a dress and you drink some 'punch' *ahem* with your friends and you sing songs and tell tales of Soviet Russia and then fall on each other.... have you noticed that there were a considerable amount of 'ands' in there? Meh hehehe, this is like the worst blog post ever! But please, feel free to carry on reading:)

Soooo I hope you guys are having a good week so far (It's FRIDAY:D) so let's get down and disgrace ourselves! And I think I will perve over anime characters (twins from Ouran Host Club twins anyone?;)) and just eventually end up doing homework:(

But also on weekends I love practicing my make-up skills because I really want to become a make-up artist!:D Maybe work with Tim Burton, how amazing would that be!
Let me know, what do you guys aspire to be one day:)
Seeya guys!

How I Survived Morphing into a Zombie - The True Story

Sorry I haven't posted in a while, and while it really doesn't seem like THAT long but being horribly sick makes you slightly over dramatic and forget that calenders and other forms of time telling devices exist.. <-- See how I cleverly covered up my character flaws over there? ;)

And maybe the whole zombie thing was also slightly over done, but I can't talk (well kinda, but in a whispery way not in a "BRAAIIINNNZZZ" kind of way). And I don't think you can get Zombieism from mumps but hey it's the 21st century, I mean, that guy from Zombieland nearly got infected by that hot girl who wanted to *cuddle* and by cuddle, I mean probably give him some other nasty disease. But good thing he got out alive, I don't know, the movie ended prematurely, WE MAY NEVER KNOW.

Also just to clear things up I didn't get infected by infiltrating an old Russian KGB nuclear Power Plant and getting bitten by some poor Soviet test subjects, nor did I eat a bad burger mmkay!

Well I have to go finish some homework (damn bloodsuckers -- I love that we're covering the whole supernatural spectrum here) and blah blah have a good week:)
But guys let's get involved here - what do you like to do when you're sick? Get your parents to do stuff for you, play Skyrim all day long until your conscious says either "GET A JOB!!" or

Welcome all!

Welcome to my first ever blog! I'm really excited to be doing this and I hope to meet awesome people and expand my mind! Please excuse my cheesy and bad intro -- I'm kinda nervous:) . Just to tell you about myself:
I'm 16, live in South Africa, love music, want to learn as many languages as I can, love anime and manga (Vampire Knight and Alice in the Country of Hearts addict!). Oh and cats are my fave animal but suddenly I really want a pet ferret *sigh* grasshopper mind^^.
